VSTE is the premier professional development and advocacy organization for educators in Virginia. The Virginia Society for Technology in Education (VSTE) was founded in 1986 as the Virginia Educational Computing Association and held our first conference event in 1995.

Mission and Vision

VSTE's Mission is to promote excellence in education through professional development endeavors supporting the integration of existing and emerging technologies.

The Vision of VSTE is to influence technological innovation in education and be recognized as an agent of change across the Commonwealth.

The VSTE Board

The Virginia Society for Technology in Education Board of Directors makes strategic decisions about VSTE’s activities and oversees the management of VSTE as a non-profit organization. Board members represent each region in Virginia and are elected by the membership.

The Board employs an Executive Director and a Finance Director responsible for organizational operations and business transactions.
